When in the beginning of the nineteen eighties Henry Wright started his ministry, he was part of a church that fully believed that God was directly involved in the daily lives of people. Between conversion and eternity there was interaction between God and man. However, in that active church with more than 1,500 members, where the elders anointed the sick with oil, they didn’t see people being healed of incurable diseases, although they prayed the prayer of faith en trusted in the Word of God.

When Henry Wright traveled through North America, he noticed that irrespective of denomination or church, less than 5 % of the people found healing for their diseases in church, let alone the situation worldwide. Today the situation is even worse. Did you ever receive prayer for healing? Did you believe the Word of God? Did you believe that God loves you? Did nothing happen in spite of the prayer of faith? Didn’t you get healed? Then your faith will have received a severe blow, and your trust in the living God will not have grown.

The Bible tells us that God loves us en that He came into the world in the person of Jesus Christ, who died for us. Jesus healed people of their diseases and cast out evil spirits. So did His disciples, and the seventy who were sent out, and the first church. Then the dark ages started and Henry Wright thinks that this period has not finished yet. When Henry Wright started his ministry he wanted to know why God tells us in Psalm 103:3 that He not only forgives our sins, but also heals our diseases.

The journey of Henry Wright led to writing the book “A More Excellent Way” and the development of the courses “For My Life” and “For Their Life”. By this ministry hundreds of people found restoration and healing, and it is obvious that God loves us today and wants us to be well..
